Yamazaki - 55 Year Old - Whisky
The Yamazaki Legacy
Ingredienti
- 45 ml Yamazaki 55 Year Old Whisky
- 15 ml Japanese umeshu (plum liqueur)
- 10 ml yuzu juice (fresh)
- 5 ml honey syrup (1:1 ratio)
- 2 dashes of Angostura bitters
- 1 dash of Peychaud's bitters
Preparazione
- Chill a crystal rocks glass by filling it with ice and setting aside for 2 minutes.
- In a mixing glass filled with premium ice, combine the yuzu juice, honey syrup, and both types of bitters.
- Stir the mixture for 10 seconds to integrate the components.
- Discard the ice from the chilled rocks glass and add one large hand-carved ice cube (approximately 5cm x 5cm).
- Pour the Yamazaki 55 Year Old Whisky into the mixing glass and stir gently for 30 seconds with a bar spoon.
- Strain the mixture over the ice cube in the rocks glass.
- Top with the umeshu and yuzu mixture, pouring slowly to create a layered effect.
Servire
Serve in a crystal rocks glass with a single large hand-carved ice cube. Garnish with a thin, 5cm-long strip of yuzu peel expressed over the surface to release oils, then place the peel on the rim. Add a single dried chrysanthemum flower floated on the surface for visual sophistication.
