About this ouzo
Ouzo of Plomari is produced in Plomari, a small port town on the southern coast of Lesbos, long regarded as the heartland of serious Greek ouzo production. Isidoros Arvanitis is one of the traditional family distilleries operating there, working with anise-forward recipes that reflect the island's distinctive distilling heritage.
At 40% ABV, this drinks with the classic ouzo profile: clean anise, a soft herbal undercurrent, and the characteristic louche when water or ice is added. On board, serve well chilled as an aperitif, alongside mezze, grilled seafood, or a spread of strong cheeses, it handles salt, oil, and bold flavour without flinching.
