Three words come to mind when tasting the 2021: textural, richness, and focus. The wine opens with lifted aromatics of white flowers and fresh tarragon supported by a lovely fruit set of Anjou pear, tart pineapple, and cantaloupe. On the palate the wine expands, broadening the frame, bringing layers of texture and energy. Secondary flavors of lemon oil, mineral, and almond round out the mid-palate. The finish is long with lingering saline notes, subtle tropics, orchard fruit, and flint rock.

About this wine
Mayacamas Vineyards produces refined Chardonnay from its historic estate in Napa Valley, California. Perched at elevation in the Mayacamas Mountains, the vineyard benefits from cool nights and morning fog that preserve natural acidity and freshness in the white wine. This classic California Chardonnay showcases the region's terroir through bright citrus and green fruit characteristics, complemented by subtle mineral notes and tropical undertones.
The winemaking philosophy at Mayacamas emphasizes balance and elegance, allowing the Chardonnay's natural light intensity to shine. This white wine pairs beautifully with a diverse range of cuisine: shellfish, crab, and lobster highlight its crisp profile, while creamy dishes like brie, goat cheese, and cream-based preparations showcase its depth. Grilled vegetables, chicken, and pork also complement this versatile Napa Valley Chardonnay, making it an excellent choice for fine dining, villa entertaining, and yacht provisions.
