A vibrant and expressive Trousseau with an enticing nose of fresh red fruits, wild strawberry, raspberry, and cherry, lifted by subtle floral hints of violet and rose petal. On the palate, the wine is light to medium-bodied with lively acidity and silky, fine-grained tannins. Earthy mineral undertones, characteristic of the Ruzard and Rosière terroirs, add complexity alongside notes of spice and a touch of iron-rich stoniness. The finish is refreshing, elegant, and pleasantly persistent.

About this wine
Cuvée des Géologues is a Trousseau from Lucien Aviet et Fils, made under the Caveau de Bacchus label in Arbois, the historic heart of the Jura. Trousseau is the region's rarer red grape, giving wines paler in colour and lighter in body than most reds, but with real character.
Expect a fine, savoury red with peppery spice, red berry fruit and a slightly rustic, earthy edge. Serve cool, at 14-16°C, alongside charcuterie, mushroom dishes, aged cheeses or venison for a match true to the Jura's own table.
