Tasting notes

A richly textured Chardonnay revealing aromas of ripe white peach, toasted hazelnut, and fresh brioche alongside subtle notes of lemon curd and white flowers. On the palate, the wine is opulent yet precise, with layers of stone fruit, creamy minerality, and a saline, chalky edge characteristic of Morgeot. The oak integration is seamless, lending spice without dominating. The finish is long, persistent, and beautifully focused.

About this wine

Jean-Claude Ramonet is one of the most respected names in Chassagne-Montrachet, and the Morgeot Premier Cru sits at the heart of the domaine's white wine range. Morgeot is Chassagne's largest and most storied premier cru, producing Chardonnay of real breadth and structure from its south-facing clay-limestone soils.

Expect a wine of weight and precision: ripe stone fruit and hazelnut, a mineral backbone, and the textural richness that defines Chassagne at its best. On board, serve alongside lobster, hand-dived scallops, a composed fish course, or a well-kept cheeseboard.
