Tasting notes

A blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay, the NV Brut Grand Cru Aÿ Fût de Chêne MV19, based two-thirds on the 2019 vintage and one-third on réserve perpétuelle or soléra, exudes a delicate, pure bouquet of spices, pear, white peach and mirabelle mingled with delicate touches of vanilla pod and licorice. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and layered, rich and perfectly balanced, it's seamless with bright acids and a long, delicate, white-pepper finish.

About this sparkling wine

Henri Giraud's Fût de Chêne is a distinguished Champagne from Aÿ Grand Cru, one of the region's most prestigious villages. This multi-vintage brut blends Chardonnay and Pinot Noir to create a sparkling wine of elegance and complexity, aged to achieve perfect balance and maturity. The house's signature oak-aging process imparts subtle richness while maintaining the brightness and finesse Champagne is renowned for.

The wine exhibits a refined character with green and stone fruit notes alongside peppery complexity and a distinctive liquorice undertone. At 12% ABV, it delivers impressive intensity without heaviness, making it exceptionally versatile. Henri Giraud's commitment to quality winemaking is evident in every bottle, reflecting the chalky terroir of Champagne and decades of expertise.

Ideal for shellfish, crab, and lobster, this Champagne also pairs beautifully with sushi, Asian cuisine, poultry, and fine cheeses like Comté and Parmesan. Perfect for celebrations or as an aperitif at your villa, yacht, or fine dining table.
