About this wine
Georges Duboeuf is the name most closely associated with Beaujolais Nouveau, the négociant who did more than anyone to establish the wine's global profile. Made from Gamay grown across the Beaujolais appellation in southern Burgundy, Nouveau is released each year just weeks after harvest, a deliberately early-drinking, unoaked red.
Expect a light-bodied wine with fresh red fruit, raspberry, cherry, a touch of banana, soft tannins and lively acidity. On board, it suits informal dining: charcuterie, simple terrines, roast chicken or a relaxed crew meal served slightly cool.
