Pale gold with green highlights, this Etna Bianco opens with lifted aromas of white peach, citrus blossom, and volcanic minerality. On the palate, expect crisp acidity framing flavors of lemon zest, green apple, and subtle saline notes characteristic of Mount Etna's volcanic soils. A touch of almond and white flowers emerges on the mid-palate, leading to a clean, refreshing finish with a distinctive smoky, mineral edge.

About this wine
Firriato's Cavanera Ripa di Scorciavacca is an Etna Bianco grown on the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily, within the Etna DOC. Vines here sit on black, mineral-rich lava soils at altitude, conditions that give the appellation's whites their distinctive drive and freshness.
On the table it drinks taut and saline, with citrus lift and a stony finish that cuts through richness. Pour chilled with shellfish, grilled fish, green vegetables, salads or a spread of tapas and small plates.
