With a very high proportion of Pinot Noir one is savouring what is nearly a Blanc de Noirs. A Champagne of great aromatic richness. The taste begins with stone fruits such as white vineyard peaches. A spicy note emerges in a powerful and complex mouthfeel. A vinous Champagne of grand complexity, with a characteristic touch of quince jelly.

About this sparkling wine
Drappier's Carte d'Or represents the house's commitment to producing elegant, food-friendly Champagne from its prime vineyard holdings in Urville, Champagne. This classic blend unites Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier to create a sophisticated sparkling wine with a distinctive character defined by green fruit, mineral complexity, and a subtle spicy edge. The moderate 12% ABV allows the wine's nuanced layers to shine without alcohol dominating the palate.
The Champagne region's cool continental climate and chalky soils impart the stony minerality and powerful structure characteristic of Drappier's wines. This Brut style, dry and unyielding, pairs beautifully with shellfish, light seafood preparations, and appetizers at cocktail receptions. Its medium alcohol and complex profile make it equally suited to aperitif service aboard a yacht or as an elegant accompaniment to fine dining courses.
