A compelling expression of Savagnin with characteristic oxidative notes of toasted hazelnuts, beeswax, and dried apricot alongside a lively streak of citrus zest and green apple. The palate is textured and saline, with a nutty, almost Sherry-like depth balanced by bright acidity. Hints of yellow curry, fennel fronds, and a flinty mineral quality persist through a long, complex and pleasingly angular finish.

About this wine
Domaine Labet works Savagnin in the Côtes du Jura, one of the region's defining white grapes, and this Fleur de Savagnin bottling shows the variety in a fresher, more aromatic register than the deeper oxidative wines the Jura is known for. Grown in eastern France, it carries the mineral spine typical of the appellation.
Expect a saline, nutty edge with orchard fruit and a firm, dry finish. At 13% abv it has the structure to match hard and aged cheeses, mushroom dishes and roast poultry - a good choice for guests who want something more textured than a standard Chardonnay.
