About this wine
Bartolo Mascarello is one of Barolo's most revered traditional houses, producing a single, unblended Barolo DOCG from Nebbiolo grown biodynamically across several of La Morra and Castiglione Falletto's finest crus. No concessions to modernism: long maceration, large Slavonian oak, and unhurried ageing define the approach.
Expect a wine of real structural authority, firm, fine tannins, high acidity, and a perfume that moves from dried roses and tar through to tobacco, liquorice and forest floor. Built for the table: serve alongside braised beef, truffle risotto, or aged Castelmagno. Decant generously and give it time.
