Smooth, generous, both dry and autumnal. It develops in two parts: first with a fruit compote of apricots and very ripe apples. Then hazelnuts and toasted walnuts make a dramatic appearance, underscored by a subtle woody fragrance (dried tea leaves, pine resin). The fruit becomes softer, revealing rich vanilla, toffee and chocolate. Firm and satiating, hazelnut, toffee and mint gently line the palate before fruit emerges with rhubarb and apple juice in particular. The fruit becomes darker, playing the role of a canvas. Long, creamy and warm, with a stewed fruit freshness in the background. We can also pick out some spicy wood smoke and a hint of black pepper.
