Tasting notes

A wine of remarkable depth and precision, offering rich aromas of white peach, toasted hazelnut, and fresh brioche layered over subtle notes of beeswax, honeysuckle, and struck flint. On the palate, the texture is opulent yet tightly structured, with vibrant acidity cutting through the generous, creamy mid-palate. Flavors of ripe citrus, roasted almonds, and a whisper of oak-derived vanilla lead to a long, mineral-driven finish with impressive tension and complexity.

About this wine

Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey sources this Chardonnay from Genevrières, one of Meursault's finest premier cru climats, bottled under the Hospices de Beaune Cuvée Baudot designation. Colin-Morey trained at his family's Chassagne-Montrachet domaine before striking out on his own, and his Meursault reflects that pedigree: meticulous vineyard sourcing and restrained, precise winemaking rather than heavy-handed oak.

Expect a wine built on tension and richness in equal measure, with citrus, hazelnut and a saline, mineral core that lengthens with air. Serve at 12-14°C alongside shellfish, pasta in cream or butter sauces, oily fish, or a cheese and charcuterie board built around brie.
