Key characteristics

About this wine

Bouchard Père & Fils makes this Premier Cru white Meursault from Les Gouttes d'Or, a named climat in the Côte de Beaune, Burgundy. As a white Meursault, it is Chardonnay.

Meursault leans towards richness: ripe orchard fruit, hazelnut and a touch of butter, with a round, textured palate kept fresh by Burgundian acidity. Serve it cool rather than cold. It pairs well with seared scallops, lobster with beurre blanc, roast chicken or soft-rind cheeses, so it suits a galley menu built around shellfish and cream sauces.
