When the wine is young, the aromas of great finesse evoke cherry and bitter chocolate or cocoa bean, a fine and rare touch sought after in the climate. As it ages, these perfumes evolve towards equally refined notes but of a kind reminiscent of undergrowth, truffle, fine leather and sometimes an imperceptible touch of cigar and cedar. The result is a certain elegance and class from the mouth sensations. The tannins are noble, fine-grained, the silkiness and freshness are perfectly complementary and harmonious. The finish is extremely long and sums up the sensations of the nose with the same elegance.

About this wine
Joseph Drouhin's Grands-Echezeaux is a masterwork from Burgundy's most prestigious Grand Cru vineyard. Crafted from Pinot Noir grown on the region's hallowed slopes, this wine embodies the elegance and complexity that define fine Burgundy. The terroir of Grands-Echezeaux, with its limestone-rich soil and ideal southeast exposure, produces wines of remarkable concentration and finesse, characteristics that define the Drouhin style.
Drouhin, a family-owned estate since 1880, approaches winemaking with meticulous attention to fruit quality and minimal intervention. Their Grands-Echezeaux expresses the classic Burgundian profile: full-bodied yet refined, with earthy undertones, velvety tannins, and a smoky minerality that reflects its noble origin. At 13.5% ABV, the wine achieves perfect balance between power and elegance.
This is an ideal companion to fine dining experiences, pair with duck confit, beef bourguignon, aged cheeses, or truffle-based dishes. A wine of exceptional pedigree, Drouhin's Grands-Echezeaux suits the discerning palate seeking authentic, age-worthy Burgundy for cellars, fine dining establishments, and special occasions.
