Tasting notes

Delicate ruby hue with garnet highlights, this Burgundian Pinot Noir opens with fresh red fruit aromas of cherry, raspberry, and strawberry, underscored by subtle earthy notes of forest floor and dried rose petals. On the palate, it is light to medium-bodied with silky tannins and lively acidity, delivering flavors of tart cranberry and red plum with a hint of spice and gentle minerality on the clean, refreshing finish.

About this wine

Cuvée Sapidus is Mongeard-Mugneret's regional Bourgogne rouge, made entirely from Pinot Noir grown around the domaine's Vosne-Romanée base. It draws on the family's deep experience across the Côte de Nuits, distilled here into an everyday red that still carries the estate's hallmarks of precision and restraint.

Expect the classic Bourgogne profile: red cherry and redcurrant fruit, a savoury undertow, and fine, unobtrusive tannins. Served at 14-16°C, it is an easy, versatile red for the table, equally at home with roast poultry, duck, game birds or a simple beef dish.
