Tasting notes

The 2017 Vouvray Le Mont Demi-Sec displays a beautifully pure, precise, flinty and crunchy bouquet of perfectly ripe and healthy fruits. Round, lush and precise on the crystalline palate, this is a highly refined, elegant, enormously lush and sexy Vouvray with great finesse but also tension and lingering salinity. Tightly structured and full of terroir expression, this is the 2017 you shouldn't miss. A great wine!

About this wine

Domaine Huet is a renowned wine producer located in the Vouvray region of France. The winery has a rich history dating back to 1928 when Victor Huet purchased the property and began producing high-quality wines. Today, the winery is known for its exceptional Chenin Blanc wines, particularly those produced in the Le Mont vineyard.

The Le Mont vineyard is located on a hillside with a unique microclimate that allows for the production of exceptional dry white wines. The vines are grown on a mixture of clay and limestone soils, which impart a distinct minerality to the wines. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted before being pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The resulting wines are crisp, refreshing, and full of character.

Domaine Huet produces a range of wines, including dry, off-dry, and sweet styles. The Le Mont Sec is a dry white wine that is made from 100% Chenin Blanc grapes. It is a complex wine with aromas of citrus, honey, and mineral notes. On the palate, it is crisp and refreshing with a long, lingering finish. This wine is perfect for pairing with seafood, poultry, or creamy cheeses.

Overall, Domaine Huet is a producer that is dedicated to producing high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Vouvray region. Their Le Mont Sec is a standout wine that is sure to impress even the most discerning wine connoisseur.
