Domaine David Duband has been producing some of the finest wines in Burgundy since the late 1990s. Their dedication to quality and tradition has resulted in numerous awards and recognition in the wine industry. Latricières-Chambertin is one of their top creations, made from grapes grown in the prestigious Grand Cru vineyards of the Côte de Nuits.

The wine features a deep ruby colour and a complex aroma of dark fruit, earthy notes and spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety with a long, smooth finish. The tannins are well-structured, providing balance and a hint of minerality. The wine can be enjoyed now or aged for several years to develop further complexity.

This wine pairs well with a range of dishes, including grilled red meat, game and strong cheese. It is best served at a temperature of 16-18°C in a large, tulip-shaped glass to enhance its aromas and flavours.

In summary, Domaine David Duband Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru is a top-quality French wine that is perfect for wine lovers and connoisseurs. Its exceptional taste, rich history and the renowned winemaker behind it make it a must-try. Buy now and experience the finest in Burgundy wine.

From one of the great grand crus of Gevrey-Chambertin, this is a firm, tannic wine with great life ahead of it. Powered and dense, it's packed with black fruit that's slowly developing. It will mature evenly over many years and will be best from 2026.
Scents of wild berries, cassis, peonies, liquorice and potpourri preface Duband's Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru, a full-bodied, fine-boned and elegant wine with a lovely spine of acidity, refined tannins and a concentrated core of fruit.

Based at Chevannes, David Duband has recently started making and bottling his own wine from his father's superbly located vineyards in Nuits St. Georges in preference to selling it to the local negociant. This unassuming young man has been in charge of vinification since 1991, and is one of most exciting new discoveries.

Like his great friend Nicolas Potel, David is full of energy and passionate about quality. His wines are characterised by their purity, balance and depth of fruit. His Vosne-Romanées are beautifully textured and possess a silky elegance. However, pride of place goes to his Nuits St. Georges - they are produced from vineyards close to the Vosne border and are rich, complex and well structured. Without doubt one of Burgundy's young stars in the ascendancy.

The vines have been farmed organically since 2006, with official certification expected in 2010

The French Wine region of Burgundy (aka “Bourgogne”) may be small in size, but its influence is huge in the world of vino. The complexity of Burgundy can cast fear into the heart of even a seasoned wine pro, but fear not – the region need only be as complicated as you want it to be. Yes, it is home to some of the most expensive wines in the known universe, but there are also tasty and affordable wines.

Main grapes:

Pinot Noir originated in Burgundy and these vines cover 34% of the region, accounting for 29% of overall wine production. The red grape does extremely well in limestone and clay soil, which helps create their complexity. Pinot Noir wines from Burgundy range in colour from cherry to brick, are light in body, and typically have red fruit and spicy flavours. Gamay is a red grape also grown in Burgundy, but only makes up 10% of the vines.

Chardonnay is the primary grape for white wines in Burgundy, making up 48% of the vines and 68% of production. Chardonnay appreciates Burgundy’s marl soil, which gives it delicate floral, fruit, and mineral aromas and full-bodied flavours. Aligoté is the second white grape, accounting for 6% grown. {Read more about the ancient Aligoté grape in Burgundy.}

The region does produce a sparkling wine called Crémant de Bourgogne. It can be made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Aligoté, Gamay, Sacy, and Melon. Varieties include blanc, blanc de blancs, blanc de noirs, and rosé.
