Tasting notes

Luminous gold in the glass, this Meursault opens with inviting aromas of ripe white peach, toasted hazelnut, and fresh butter, layered with hints of lemon curd and subtle oak spice. On the palate, it is rich yet precise, with a creamy texture balanced by vibrant acidity. Flavors of roasted almond, honeyed apple, and a touch of mineral salinity carry through to a long, elegant, and refreshing finish.

About this wine

Bouchard Père & Fils is one of Burgundy's major négociant-éleveurs, with deep roots in the Côte de Beaune and significant vineyard holdings in Meursault itself. This is village-level Meursault: Chardonnay from one of Burgundy's most celebrated white-wine communes, handled by a house with the scale and cellar expertise to deliver consistent, well-structured wine.

Expect the hallmarks of the appellation, a rich, nutty core, gentle buttery weight, and good mineral length, without the austerity of a younger producer finding its feet. On board, it works across a wide stretch of the menu: shellfish, oily fish, creamy pasta, and cheese boards all suit its texture and weight.
