Fornitura di vini per yacht in Portofino

Portofino is the most photographed harbour in Italy and one of the smallest. The port itself takes very few yachts alongside, most of the fleet lies on the buoys or at anchor in the bay off Paraggi, and the tender does the work. Santa Margherita Ligure, ten minutes round the point, has the marina, the road access and the space, which is why most provisioning for Portofino actually happens there.

We plan deliveries for this stretch accordingly: to Marina di Santa Margherita Ligure where a pallet can be handled properly, or directly to the Porto di Portofino when the berth and the timing allow it. The coast is inside our own van’s zone, so our driver brings the wine down from Antibes rather than a carrier collecting it, normally within 48 hours, and we agree the drop point with the crew rather than assuming it.

The season here is short, intense and almost entirely about lunch. Portofino fills from June, empties by late September, and the drinking is rosé, Champagne and crisp Ligurian whites in daylight rather than long dinners. We stock accordingly and will happily weight a delivery toward what actually gets poured in this bay instead of shipping a cellar built for a different coast.

Because the harbour is so tight, timing beats volume here. A yacht spending three nights on the buoys does not want a season’s stock arriving; it wants the right two pallets on the right morning. Tell us the dates and the berth and we will build to that. If you are moving on down the coast we deliver in La Spezia and Viareggio as well, so the cellar need not dictate the itinerary.

We plan to use them in the future as the owner purchased extra wines which are now being stored in Onshore Cellars temperature controlled store."

They continuously go the extra mile to help you out - whether it is with a last minute order and rushed delivery or helping you with food pairing and tasting notes for an important upcoming charter. Chief StewardessMotor Yacht IJE

"We've used Onshore Cellars for the past four charter seasons and they've never let us down. Last-minute requests, hard-to-find vintages, middle-of-the-night WhatsApp messages, they handle it all with a smile. The wine knowledge is second to none and our guests consistently comment on how impressive the wine selection is. That's all down to Jess and the team."

Chief Stewardess62m Sailing Yacht

"The WSET course I did with Onshore Cellars completely transformed my wine service on board. I went from guessing to confidently recommending wines to our owner and his guests. The course was tailored to yacht crew which made it so much more relevant than a standard wine course. Now I order all our wine through them too, the tasting notes and pairing suggestions they provide make my job so much easier."

2nd Stewardess45m Motor Yacht

"We switched to Onshore Cellars after years of frustration with our previous wine supplier. The difference is night and day. They actually listen to what our owner likes, remember his preferences, and proactively suggest new wines he might enjoy. The online ordering system with real-time stock is brilliant, no more placing orders only to be told something is out of stock. A truly professional outfit."
