The wine has a velvety, rich texture with silky fruit weight and lingering flavours of summer peach, quince, acacia honey and fragrant tuberose. All this beauty is framed by etched notes of saltiness or crushed shells.
I have described this wine in the past as a blend of the "three graces", and this analogy comes to mind again. The Quintodecimo 2021 Irpinia Grande Cuvée Luigi Moio offers the playful nature of the first grape variety, the texture of the second and the vertical lift of the third. This is the total package from Campania, and it's a wonder that more winemakers aren't experimenting with Campania white wine blends. This limited production shows tropical tones, pie crust, custard, honey and fragrant white flowers. At first glance, the wine is dense and compact, but it needs more time in the bottle to develop and open up. This is a beauty.

Campania is a region in southern Italy that is known for producing some of the country's most unique and flavorful wines. The region has a long history of winemaking, dating back to ancient times when the Greeks first introduced grape cultivation to the area.

The style of production in Campania is heavily influenced by the region's volcanic soil, which is rich in minerals and nutrients that give the wines a distinct character. The most famous grape varieties grown in Campania are Aglianico, Fiano, and Greco, which are used to produce a range of red, white, and sparkling wines.

Aglianico is the most widely planted grape in Campania and is used to produce full-bodied red wines with intense flavors of dark fruit, spice, and earth. Fiano and Greco are both white grape varieties that produce crisp, refreshing wines with notes of citrus, apple, and mineral.

Overall, Campania is a region that is known for producing wines with a strong sense of place and a unique character that reflects the region's history and terroir. Whether you are looking for a bold red wine or a crisp white, Campania has something to offer for every wine lover.
