Tasting notes
This exceptional Grappa Riserva has been aged for 20 years in a combination of small oak, cherry, ash and acacia barrels, resulting in a spirit of remarkable complexity and refinement. Amber in colour with golden highlights, the nose offers a rich and layered bouquet of dried fruit, honey, vanilla, toasted oak, beeswax and subtle spice. On the palate it is smooth and velvety, with flavours of caramel, dried apricot, chocolate, coffee and a long, warming finish. A world away from young, fiery grappa, this is a sipping spirit of the highest order.

Key characteristics
About this grappa
Nonino's Grappa Riserva is aged for twenty years, a rarity in a category where most grappas are bottled young. Made in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, a region synonymous with Italian grappa production, it reflects two decades of slow evolution in wood.
Expect a smoother, rounder spirit than young grappa, with dried fruit, spice and toasted notes replacing the raw, grapey punch of unaged versions. Serve at 8-12°C after dinner, on its own or alongside dark chocolate, as a digestif rather than a mixer.
