Tasting notes

Elegant and perfumed on the nose, offering delicate red fruit aromas of fresh raspberry, wild strawberry, and dried rose petals, underscored by earthy violet and subtle forest floor nuances. On the palate, the old vines lend a silky, concentrated texture with bright acidity and fine, gossamer tannins. Flavors of cherry compote, crushed herbs, and a whisper of spice lead into a long, mineral-driven finish with characteristic Chambolle grace and precision.

About this wine

Hudelot-Baillet is a small Burgundian domaine with holdings in Chambolle-Musigny, one of the Côte de Nuits' most celebrated communes. This cuvée is drawn from old vines, which typically yield lower quantities of more concentrated, complex fruit than younger plantings.

Chambolle-Musigny Pinot Noir is characterised by silky tannins, a fine-boned structure and perfumed red fruit, cherry, raspberry and violet, with earthy depth beneath. It drinks elegantly at table alongside duck breast, roast guinea fowl, venison loin or a well-hung game bird.
