The Rouge Grande Réserve is a blend of Mourvèdre, Grenache, Carignan and Syrah. Mourvèdre gives it its structure and complexity while Grenache gives it aromas of red fruits. The grapes come from vines grown in Saint Cyr-sur-Mer and Le Castellet.
The nose is very elegant with aromas of ripe fruit, black cherry. The mouth has small red fruits in these first years, the Rouge Grande Réserve can be kept for about ten years. After a few years of aging, the palate gains in complexity with spicy notes, ripe red fruits, elegant tannins and a beautiful persistence.
