The 2017 Chianti Classico Riserva has a generous side with ripe and plump fruit, but it also shows an elongated and linear side that drives a medium-long finish. It sits at an interesting juncture in which the primary fruit is beginning to show some of the extra depth that comes with age. This is a generous production of 200,000 bottles.
From a cooler vintage coming after the scorching hot previous year, the 2018 Chianti Classico Riserva has soft contours and lots of bright fruit with cherry, cassis and wild plum. This is a medium-weight Sangiovese with bright acidity. It ends with earthy notes of iris and blue flower.

Carpineto - Winery Producing Incredible Chianti Wines.

The story of Carpineto winery began in 1967 by the joint efforts of Giovanni Carlo Sacchet and Antonio Mario Zaccheo. The duo set a goal to make their Chianti Classico DOCG wines well-famous around the globe, and they did it. Over the years, they got numerous awards and recognitions by the wine critics for their flagship red wines. With the help of their families, Carlo and Mario kept the traditional winemaking methods alive, combined with innovative and state-of-the-art processes. Today, 95% of the wine production is red wines, along with the rest of the wines include luscious white, rose, dessert, and sparkling wines, all made under the Toscana IGT and Chianti DOCG statuses.

Italy's most ancient wine region, Tuscany may not be a heavyweight in terms of quantity, but as the home of two of the country's most famous fine wines – Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino – it certainly holds its own in terms of quality. Tuscany's climate ranges from Mediterranean on the coast to continental deep in the Apennines. More than two thirds of the province is covered with hills, an important terroir factor in its fine wines.
