Tasting notes
Dogajolo Rosso is one of the most innovative wines of the Carpineto company, produced in the hailed or hamlet of Dudda, in the Florentine municipality of Greve in Chianti. It is obtained mainly from Sangiovese grapes, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and other red berried varieties, for a fragrant and deep wine, in which the youth of the fruit, the maturity of the wood and an elegant softness coexist. It reveals itself to the sight of an intense ruby red colour. Pleasant vinous and fruity sensations emerge on the nose, in which cherry stands out, alternating with spicy nuances reminiscent of vanilla and coffee. On the palate it is a full, soft and structured wine.

About this wine
Carpineto is a renowned wine producer located in the heart of Tuscany, Italy. The winery was founded in 1967 by Giovanni Carlo Sacchet and Antonio Mario Zaccheo, who shared a passion for winemaking and a deep respect for the land. Today, Carpineto is recognized as one of the most prestigious wine producers in Italy, with a portfolio of exceptional wines that showcase the unique terroir of Tuscany.
One of Carpineto's most popular wines is the Dogajolo, a red blend that is classified as a Toscana IGT. This wine is made from a blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, which are carefully selected from the best vineyards in Tuscany. The grapes are harvested by hand and then fermented in stainless steel tanks, where they undergo a maceration period of 10-12 days. After fermentation, the wine is aged in oak barrels for 6 months, which gives it a rich and complex flavor profile.
The Dogajolo is a medium-bodied wine with a deep ruby color and aromas of red berries, cherries, and a hint of spice. On the palate, the wine is well-balanced with soft tannins and a long, smooth finish. This wine is perfect for pairing with a variety of dishes, including pasta, grilled meats, and aged cheeses.
Carpineto's commitment to quality and tradition is evident in every bottle of Dogajolo. This wine is a testament to the winery's dedication to producing exceptional wines that reflect the unique terroir of Tuscany. Whether you are a wine enthusiast or a casual drinker, the Dogajolo is a wine that is sure to impress.
