Tasting notes

The Bardolino of the Corte Giara di Allegrini line comes from the hilly area of Lake Garda, on soils of fluvio-glacial origin. The blend from which it is obtained consists of Corvina Veronese grapes and Rondinella and Molinara grapes harvested manually in the first half of September. After a soft pressing of the grapes, the must ferments in steel tanks at controlled temperatures. This is followed by a stay in steel for about 3 months and an additional refinement of 2 months in the bottle before being placed on the market. It has a very intense ruby-red colour with purple hues. The nose is characterized by intense fruity sensations, in which small berries predominate, accompanied by characteristic spicy notes of pepper and dog rose. Dry and harmonious on the palate, it conquers for elegance and great ease of drinking.

About this wine

Allegrini's Corte Giara represents the essence of Bardolino DOC, a historic red wine region in Italy's Veneto. Crafted primarily from Corvina grapes blended with rare red varieties, this wine embodies the elegant, approachable character that has defined the estate's winemaking philosophy for generations. The medium alcohol content and soft tannin structure make it remarkably versatile, ideal for discerning palates seeking refinement without heaviness.

The peppery, spicy notes characteristic of this Rare Red Blend pair beautifully with a diverse range of cuisines and dishes. From charcuterie and cured meats to grilled vegetables, mushrooms, and truffles, Corte Giara complements both casual entertaining and formal dining. Its food-friendly nature makes it equally at home on a yacht, in a mountain chalet, or paired with fine dining creations featuring lamb, beef, duck, or venison. The wine's elegant profile and rose-tinged complexity showcase the unique terroir of Bardolino, delivering a wine that balances tradition with contemporary refinement.
