Oui, elle abrite certains des vins les plus chers de l'univers connu, mais il y a aussi des vins savoureux et abordables.

Raisins principaux :

Le Pinot Noir est originaire de Bourgogne et ces vignes couvrent 34 % de la région, représentant 29 % de la production vinicole globale. Le raisin rouge se développe extrêmement bien dans les sols calcaires et argileux, ce qui aide à créer leur complexité. Les vins Pinot Noir de Bourgogne varient en couleur du cerise au brique, sont légers en corps et ont généralement des saveurs de fruits rouges et épicées. Le Gamay est un raisin rouge également cultivé en Bourgogne, mais ne représente que 10 % des vignes.

Le Chardonnay est le raisin principal pour les vins blancs de Bourgogne, représentant 48 % des vignes et 68 % de la production. Le Chardonnay apprécie le sol marneux de la Bourgogne, qui lui confère des arômes floraux délicats, fruités et minéraux ainsi que des saveurs corsées. Clos de Vougeot is a Grand Cru appellation located in the Côte d'Or department of Burgundy, France. The vineyard encompasses 50 hectares within the commune of Vougeot, making it the largest Grand Cru site in the Côte de Nuits. The appellation takes its name from the historic Château du Clos de Vougeot, built by Cistercian monks who developed the vineyard from the 12th century onward and established the stone walls that still define its boundaries today.

The vineyard sits at elevations between 240 and 270 meters on gentle slopes with predominantly limestone and clay soils. Pinot Noir is the sole permitted grape variety, as is standard for red Grand Cru appellations in the Côte de Nuits. The large size of the vineyard means significant variation in terroir across different parcels, with the upper slopes generally producing wines of greater concentration and aging potential than those from the lower, flatter sections near the main road.

Clos de Vougeot wines typically display the structured, mineral-driven character associated with Côte de Nuits Pinot Noir. The wines often exhibit red and black fruit flavors with earthy undertones and firm tannins that require several years of cellaring to fully develop. Due to the appellation's size and the number of different producers working within its boundaries, styles can vary considerably depending on the specific vineyard parcel and winemaking approach.
