Bauchet Champagne - Signature - 1er Cru

Bauchet Signature is a Premier Cru Champagne from the Champagne region of northern France. It is made from a Champagne blend in a Brut style, dry and precise, at 12% abv.

Green apple, white peach and citrus zest lead on the nose, with brioche and toasted almond notes from lees ageing. The palate is crisp and elegant, with fine, persistent bubbles, chalky minerality and a balanced dosage. The finish is clean and fresh, gently creamy, with lemon and pastry lingering.

Premier Cru status means the fruit comes from villages ranked just below Grand Cru on Champagne's classification. Cool northern growing conditions and chalk subsoils typically give the region's wines their acidity, tension and mineral line. Here that freshness is set against the richer, bakery character of time on lees, so the wine stays light on its feet without feeling thin.

Serve well chilled, in tulip glasses rather than flutes to give the aromas room. It works as an aperitif, and it is built for the table: shellfish, sushi and sashimi, and oily fish all suit its crisp acidity. Charcuterie, cured meats and a cheese plate bring out the creamier side.
