Tasting notes

Amber-coloured in the glass. Lush on the nose with notes of fleshy fruit such as apple, nectarine and apricot. Complex and intense on the palate. The depth of fruit is confirmed and enriched with citrus notes that emphasise the hints of quince, plum, vanilla and candied fruit. The finish is balsamic, sensual and long-lasting. Spherical bottle made of crystal glass with 24-carat gold screen printing, handmade stopper made of cork and metal with 24-carat gold coating. Comes with a small leather strap. No added colourants.

Key characteristics

About this grappa

Nonino stands as Italy's most prestigious grappa producer, a family-owned distillery headquartered in Friuli-Venezia Giulia since 1897. The northeastern Italian region, renowned for its white wine production and alpine terroir, provides the pomace foundation for Nonino's world-class spirits. Their commitment to artisanal distillation and single-varietal transparency has established them as innovators in the grappa category, earning international acclaim among fine spirits collectors.

The UE Gran Riserva represents Nonino's flagship aged expression, a 30-year matured grappa bottled at 43% ABV. This extended resting period allows the spirit to develop complexity and refinement, positioning it alongside premium aged cognacs and single-malt Scotches in luxury dining collections. The Gran Riserva exemplifies Italian craftsmanship: meticulous production processes, careful barrel aging, and minimal intervention preserve the distinctive character inherited from Friuli's vineyard heritage. Each bottle reflects Nonino's mastery of grappa production and their dedication to creating spirituous experiences worthy of a refined cellar.
