Tasting notes
A richly textured Chenin Blanc with inviting aromas of ripe quince, honeyed apple, and toasted brioche, underscored by subtle notes of beeswax and chamomile. On the palate, generous stone fruit flavors of peach and apricot are balanced by a vibrant, saline acidity that keeps the wine fresh and lively. The finish is long and mineral-driven, with a pleasing waxy character and lingering floral notes that reflect the Loire's distinctive terroir.

About this wine
Catherine and Pierre Breton are among the Loire's most respected biodynamic producers, based in Bourgueil but also working with Chenin Blanc in Vouvray. Pierres Rousses, 'red stones', takes its name from the tuffeau soils that define the appellation's character.
At 14% ABV this is a substantive, structured Chenin: expect quince, beeswax and wet stone, with the textural weight to stand up to rich poultry, oily fish or a well-aged goat's cheese. It works equally well alongside brie or simply roasted white fish where you want a wine with genuine presence on the palate.
