Perrier-Jouët - Belle Epoque

Tasting notes

Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2012 expresses the delicate and floral finesse of the 50% Chardonnays sourced from the Grand Cru villages of Cramant and Avize. To enhance the blend, 45% Pinot Noirs from the Montagne de Reims and 5% Pinot Meunier from Dizy bring more structure, roundness and allure.

On the nose, aromas of fresh white hawthorn and plum blossom entwine with white-fleshed fruits and candied citrus notes. Overall the wine is wonderfully vibrant with a lively and invigorating attack that awakens your senses with warm notes of brioche, and a lingering, floral finish.

More about the Producer

  • Perrier-Jouet

Perrier-Jouët owns 65 hectares of vineyards classified as 99.2% on the échelle des crus classification of vineyards, including forty hectares of Chardonnay for the Cramant and Avize grands crus. Chardonnay, a floral, elegant and refined grape variety, is Perrier-Jouët’s signature wine.

Perrier-Jouët only produces wine in small volumes. Successive cellar masters have managed to preserve its historic treasures, including its first vintages, like Perrier-Jouët 1825 – the oldest champagne currently in existence.
