Mastroberardino is a renowned wine producer located in the Campania region of Italy. With a history dating back to the 18th century, the Mastroberardino family has been producing high-quality wines for generations. The winery is known for its dedication to preserving ancient grape varieties and traditional winemaking techniques.

One of the most notable wines produced by Mastroberardino is the Taurasi DOCG. This full-bodied red wine is made from the Aglianico grape, which is native to the Campania region. The wine is aged for at least three years in oak barrels, resulting in a complex and elegant wine with notes of dark fruit, spice, and leather.

Another standout wine from Mastroberardino is the Fiano di Avellino DOCG. This white wine is made from the Fiano grape, which is also native to Campania. The wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks, resulting in a crisp and refreshing wine with notes of citrus and minerality.

In addition to their traditional wines, Mastroberardino also produces a range of innovative wines, such as the Radici Taurasi Riserva DOCG. This wine is made from a selection of the best Aglianico grapes and is aged for at least ten years in oak barrels. The result is a powerful and complex wine with notes of black cherry, tobacco, and vanilla.

Overall, Mastroberardino is a producer that is dedicated to preserving the traditions of winemaking in Campania while also pushing the boundaries with innovative wines. Their commitment to quality and excellence has earned them a reputation as one of the top wine producers in Italy.

Campania is a region in southern Italy that is known for producing some of the country's most unique and flavorful wines. The region has a long history of winemaking, dating back to ancient times when the Greeks first introduced grape cultivation to the area.

The style of production in Campania is heavily influenced by the region's volcanic soil, which is rich in minerals and nutrients that give the wines a distinct character. The most famous grape varieties grown in Campania are Aglianico, Fiano, and Greco, which are used to produce a range of red, white, and sparkling wines.

Aglianico is the most widely planted grape in Campania and is used to produce full-bodied red wines with intense flavors of dark fruit, spice, and earth. Fiano and Greco are both white grape varieties that produce crisp, refreshing wines with notes of citrus, apple, and mineral.

Overall, Campania is a region that is known for producing wines with a strong sense of place and a unique character that reflects the region's history and terroir. Whether you are looking for a bold red wine or a crisp white, Campania has something to offer for every wine lover.

The Greco di Tufo DOCG is a distinguished wine appellation located in the Campania region of southern Italy, specifically in the provinces of Avellino. This area is renowned for its white wine made primarily from the Greco grape, a variety believed to have been introduced by the Greeks over two millennia ago. In 2003, the Greco di Tufo was elevated to DOCG status, the highest quality level in the Italian wine classification system, indicating its distinction and adherence to strict production standards.

Greco di Tufo is celebrated for its crisp acidity, mineral complexity, and aromatic profile, featuring notes of pear, apricot, lemon, and a distinctive almond finish that becomes more pronounced as the wine ages. The volcanic soils of the region, rich in sulfur and tuff, impart a unique minerality to the wine, enhancing its freshness and flavor depth. These wines are known for their ability to age well, developing richer, more complex flavors over time.

The DOCG regulations for Greco di Tufo ensure that the wine is produced within a specified area around Tufo, including parts of the towns of Montefusco, Prata di Principato Ultra, and others. The wines must contain at least 85% Greco grape, with the remainder made up of Coda di Volpe. This appellation's commitment to quality and heritage makes Greco di Tufo a prized expression of Campania's winemaking traditions.
