Bottled in early July the this year, the 2021 Kallstadter Saumagen Riesling Kabinett trocken is still young and a bit closed on the clear, deep and stony nose. Fine and very elegant on the palate, this is a round, lush, refined, firm and persistently salty Saumagen with a long and intense finish. This is a serious, sustainably intense Riesling with substance and terroir expression after a long hang-time. It needs time, though. 11.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork.
