About this wine
From vines planted in 1960, the 2017 Old Vine Semillon offers hints of lemon curd and lavender on the grassy nose. Light to medium-bodied, it delivers flavors of green apples and citrus on the palate, enriched by several months on the lees, then slides off into a silky-textured finish. I like this wine young, but I suspect it will age into something more toasty and honeyed with 5-8 years in the cellar.
