Tasting notes

Cult sparkling wine named after the founder of the winery: bright, luminous yellow colour, lively, fine mousse. The bouquet is inviting, with fine yeasty nuances and subtle grapefruit and citrus tones. Lots of substance on the palate, beautiful creamy texture, very elegant and underlaid with a fine citrus note. The fresh structure and harmonious, long, slightly salty finish are wonderfully stimulating.

About this sparkling wine

Ferrari stands as a pioneering sparkling wine house in Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy's premier region for Metodo Classico production. The Riserva del Fondatore 'Giulio Ferrari' represents the house's flagship expression, named after the visionary founder who established Ferrari in 1902 and revolutionized Italian sparkling winemaking through extended aging and meticulous craftsmanship.

Crafted from Chardonnay grown in Trentino's distinctive terroir, this Extra-Brut sparkling wine showcases the region's cool-climate advantages: elegant citrus fruit, fresh acidity, and mineral precision. The extended aging on the lees imparts a creamy texture and subtle yeasty complexity characteristic of fine Metodo Classico production, while maintaining the wine's signature lightness and refinement at 12.5% ABV.

This versatile sparkling wine excels as an aperitif and pairs beautifully with shellfish, crab, lobster, and sushi, as well as poultry, citrus-based dishes, and fresh fruits. Its saline minerality and dry profile make it equally suited to tapas, small plates, and fine dining occasions aboard yachts or in luxury villa settings.
