EPC - Champagne - Brut
EPC Brut is a Champagne from the Champagne region of France, made in the dry Brut style. It pours pale gold with fine, persistent bubbles and sits at 12% abv.
The nose leads with green apple, citrus zest and pear, with brioche and toasted almond behind, the mark of time spent on lees. The palate is crisp and lively, with refreshing acidity and a creamy mousse. The finish is clean and dry, carrying a hint of chalky minerality.
EPC makes this wine from a Champagne blend, the traditional route for the appellation. Champagne's cool northern climate and chalk soils bring the tension, high-toned acidity and mineral edge that define the style, while lees contact adds the savoury, bready depth beneath the fruit.
Serve well chilled. At the table it suits shellfish, sushi and sashimi, white fish and chicken. Its acidity also cuts cleanly through a cheese plate.
