The 2015 Meursault Vireuils, which had not been fined unlike some others, offers enticing aromas of nectarine and white peach mixed with subtle melted wax aromas. It comes across as detailed and quite "attacking" in style. The palate is very well balanced with a harmonious entry. It sashays along with white peach, citrus lemon and hints of frangipane, leading to a cohesive and quite intense spicy finish. This is very fine, Jean-Marc, very fine.

About this wine
Domaine Roulot is a distinguished producer in Meursault, one of Burgundy's most celebrated white wine appellations. This Chardonnay from the Vireulis vineyard exemplifies the region's commitment to elegant, terroir-driven white wines. The limestone-rich soils of Meursault impart a distinctive minerality and complexity that define the estate's philosophy of balanced, expressive winemaking.
This white wine showcases the classic profile of quality Meursault Chardonnay: well-balanced with notes of citrus and stone fruit, underpinned by subtle spice. The moderate alcohol content (13%) ensures freshness and drinkability without compromising depth. A versatile companion to the finest dining, it pairs beautifully with shellfish, lobster, white fish, poultry, and hard cheeses, making it an essential selection for luxury hospitality settings, fine dining establishments, and discerning collectors.
