Tasting notes
Beautifully perfumed, the 2022 Condrieu from Christophe Pichon wafts from the glass with aromas of spring flowers, almonds and perfectly ripe white fruits. Medium to full-bodied, round and enrobing, it's textured with a fleshy core of fruit and bright acids for a Condrieu and has a long, ethereal finish. Matured for one year in used barrels, it should age gracefully over the next decade.

About this wine
This Condrieu is made from Viognier grown on the steep granite slopes above the northern Rhone, a small and demanding appellation known for producing some of France's most perfumed white wines. Made by Domaine Georges Vernay, it reflects the region's commitment to Viognier at its most expressive.
Expect a rich, full-bodied white with apricot, honeysuckle and white pepper notes, and enough weight to stand up to richer dishes. Serve at 10-12°C with lobster, langoustine or a creamy chicken dish, where its texture and aromatics have space to show.
