Tasting notes

The 2016 Paveil de Luze is terrific. Wafting from the glass with notions of crème de cassis, loamy soil, cigar wrapper, pencil shavings, dark chocolate and rose petals, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with fine depth at the core and a more introverted, tightly wound profile than the 2019.

About this wine

Deep garnet colour with aromas of blackcurrant, ripe plum, and cedar, accented by subtle notes of graphite and tobacco. On the palate, the wine displays excellent concentration with layers of dark fruit, fine-grained tannins, and well-integrated oak. The Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure and elegance while Merlot adds supple roundness. The finish is long and harmonious, with lingering notes of cassis and a hint of vanilla, showcasing the exceptional quality of this vintage.
