Enquire about availabilityThis tiny 1.33-hectare plot, entirely planted with Pinot Noir in 1993, is the cradle of the 2015 Extra-Brut Premier Cru Dizy - Terres Rouges. Revealing aromas of spring flowers, herbs, toast, tobacco leaf, red berries and menthol, it's medium to full-bodied, tense and straight, structured and perfectly balanced, with a long, phenolic and chalky finish. This is an excellent, singular rendition of Pinot Noir, a combination of finesse and power. Disgorged in March 2023 with no dosage.
Jacquesson stands among Champagne's most respected grower producers, renowned for small-batch, terroir-driven sparkling wines that showcase the distinctive character of specific vineyard sites. Dizy Terres Rouges is a benchmark expression from this storied house, drawing from the iron-rich soils of the Dizy climat, a designation that reflects Jacquesson's commitment to village-level precision and authenticity.
This Extra-Brut Champagne is built on Pinot Noir, the region's noble dark fruit grape, vinified to emphasize minerality and structure over residual sweetness. The result is a wine of remarkable balance: herbaceous and leafy notes complement chalky minerality, while subtle toast complexity adds sophistication. At 12% ABV, it drinks with elegant restraint, making it equally suited to aperitif service or as a refined companion to seafood, oysters, and light cuisine.
For collectors and enthusiasts seeking authentic, producer-driven Champagne beyond the grandes marques, Jacquesson represents outstanding value and consistent excellence. Dizy Terres Rouges exemplifies why this grower's name commands respect among wine professionals and serious collectors worldwide.
