Tasting notes

A fragrant nose of red cherry, rose petal and dried thyme opens onto a palate of real finesse: silky tannins, bright acidity and a savoury, earthy undertow typical of the appellation. The 2016 vintage brings freshness and precision, with a long, perfumed finish.

Key characteristics

About this wine

Méo-Camuzet's Chambolle-Musigny comes from one of the Côte de Nuits' most refined village appellations, a commune long associated with the most perfumed and silky expressions of Pinot Noir in Burgundy. As a village-level wine it draws on vineyards across the appellation rather than a single named climat.

Expect the Chambolle hallmark: red cherry and rose petal aromatics, fine-grained tannins and a graceful, lifted finish rather than outright power. Serve at 15-17°C with roast poultry, duck or a simple dish of mushrooms, letting the wine's silkiness do the work rather than fighting it.
