Don Julio is a renowned tequila producer hailing from the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. The brand was founded in 1942 by Don Julio González, who was a pioneer in the tequila industry and is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in the history of tequila.

Don Julio tequila is made using only the finest blue agave plants, which are grown in the rich red soil of the Jalisco highlands. The agave is harvested by hand and then cooked in traditional brick ovens, which gives the tequila its distinctive flavour and aroma.

After cooking, the agave is crushed to extract the juice, which is then fermented and distilled to create the final product. Don Julio tequila is aged in oak barrels for varying lengths of time, depending on the specific type of tequila being produced.

The Don Julio range includes a variety of tequilas, each with its own unique flavour profile and style. The most popular of these is Don Julio Blanco, which is a clear, unaged tequila that is perfect for mixing in cocktails. Don Julio Reposado is aged for up to 11 months in oak barrels, which gives it a smooth, mellow flavour with hints of vanilla and caramel. Don Julio Añejo is aged for up to 18 months, which gives it a rich, complex flavour with notes of oak, chocolate and coffee.

In addition to its core range of tequilas, Don Julio also produces a number of limited edition and special release tequilas, which are highly sought after by collectors and connoisseurs. These include Don Julio 1942, which is aged for a minimum of two and a half years and has a rich, smooth flavour with notes of caramel, toffee and vanilla.

Overall, Don Julio is a brand that is synonymous with quality, craftsmanship and tradition. Its tequilas are among the finest in the world, and are enjoyed by tequila lovers and cocktail enthusiasts alike. Whether you are looking for a smooth, mellow tequila for sipping or a bold, flavourful tequila for mixing, Don Julio has something to offer.
