Emidio Pepe's Trebbiano d'Abruzzo enters the glass with a vibrant straw yellow; on the nose, it is gratifying, with notes of white peach, medlar, wild fennel, rosemary. In the mouth, it is powerful and salty. Perfect with a green sauce and snails risotto, or with spaghetti with clams, bottarga and coriander.

Abruzzo is a region in southern Italy that is known for producing a variety of wines. The region has a long history of winemaking, dating back to the Roman era. The wines of Abruzzo are known for their bold flavors and rich aromas, which are a result of the region's unique climate and soil.

One of the most famous wine producers in Abruzzo is Masciarelli. This family-owned winery has been producing high-quality wines for over 30 years. The winery is located in the town of San Martino sulla Marrucina, in the heart of the Abruzzo region.

Masciarelli produces a variety of wines, including Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, and Chardonnay. The winery is known for its commitment to sustainable winemaking practices, which include using organic fertilizers and reducing water usage.

Another notable wine producer in Abruzzo is Farnese Vini. This winery was founded in 1994 and has quickly become one of the most respected wineries in the region. Farnese Vini produces a variety of wines, including Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Sangiovese, and Chardonnay.

The winery is known for its modern winemaking techniques, which include using stainless steel tanks and temperature-controlled fermentation. Farnese Vini also has a strong commitment to sustainability, using solar panels to power its winery and reducing its carbon footprint.

In addition to these larger wineries, Abruzzo is also home to many small, family-owned wineries. These wineries produce a variety of unique and interesting wines, often using traditional winemaking techniques that have been passed down through generations.

Overall, Abruzzo is a region that is rich in winemaking history and produces a variety of high-quality wines. Whether you are looking for a bold and flavorful Montepulciano d'Abruzzo or a crisp and refreshing Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, you are sure to find a wine that suits your taste in this beautiful region of Italy.
