Gaia is a winemaker based on Santorini in the Aegean Islands, producing white wines from the island's volcanic terroirs. The producer works primarily with Assyrtico, the native white variety that defines Santorini's modern wine identity.

Santorini's PDO designation encompasses vineyards planted on the caldera of an active volcano, where the soil composition of volcanic ash, pumice, and mineral deposits creates distinctive growing conditions. The island's exposed position in the Aegean results in strong maritime influence and intense sunlight, factors that shape the character of wines produced here.
