Dalamara

Dalamara is a renowned wine producer located in the Naoussa region of Greece. This family-owned and operated winery has been crafting exceptional wines for over a century, making them one of the oldest and most respected wineries in the country.

The Dalamara winery was founded in 1840 by the Dalamara family, who have been dedicated to producing high-quality wines using traditional winemaking techniques. Their commitment to quality is evident in every bottle, as they carefully hand-select the finest grapes from their own vineyards and use minimal intervention in the winemaking process to let the natural flavors shine through.

The Naoussa region, where Dalamara is located, is renowned for its unique microclimate and terroir, which is ideal for growing the native Xinomavro grape. This grape variety is known for its thick skins, high tannins, and vibrant acidity, resulting in complex and age-worthy wines. Dalamara's vineyards are situated on the slopes of Mount Vermio, at an altitude of 300-500 meters, providing the perfect conditions for the Xinomavro grape to thrive.

Dalamara produces a range of wines, including both red and white varieties, with their Xinomavro wines being the most celebrated. Their flagship wine, the Dalamara Naoussa Grande Reserve, is made from a blend of Xinomavro grapes from the oldest vines on the estate and is aged for at least four years before release. This wine is a true reflection of the terroir and the winemaking expertise of Dalamara, with its bold tannins, complex flavors of dark fruits, and a long finish.

In addition to their red wines, Dalamara also produces a refreshing white wine called the Dalamara Malagouzia. This wine is made from the indigenous Malagouzia grape and is a perfect representation of the region's terroir, with its crisp acidity, floral
