Stolichnaya
Stolichnaya is a Russian vodka bottled at 40% abv. It is classically styled: crystal clear, clean and built around smoothness rather than showy flavour, which makes it a dependable vodka for the bar.
The nose is soft and quietly sweet, with marshmallow, mineral and a mild note of fruit peel. The entry is supple, and the palate is medium-bodied, with pastry frosting, talc and citrus rind. The finish is clean and lightly sweet, with sugar dust, wet straw and a balanced pepper fade that keeps it from feeling cloying.
Vodka is a neutral spirit, so the character here lies in texture and gentle sweetness rather than heavy aromatics. That restraint is why it takes well to chilling and mixing alike.
Serve it very cold and neat, or over ice with a twist of citrus peel to echo the rind on the palate. Its signature serve is the Stoli Imperial Martini, where a clean, medium-bodied base lets the other ingredients come through. Ingrédients
- 60 ml Stoli Premium Vodka
- 15 ml Dry Vermouth
- 5 ml Maraschino Liqueur
- 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Préparation
- Fill a mixing glass with ice cubes.
- Add Stoli Premium Vodka, dry vermouth, Maraschino liqueur, and Angostura bitters.
- Stir gently for 30 seconds until well-chilled.
- Strain the mixture into a chilled coupe glass.
Service
Coupe glass, garnished with a lemon twist, expressed over the surface of the drink.
