Fernando de Castilla - Oloroso Classic

Fernando de Castilla Oloroso Classic is a dry Oloroso sherry from the Jerez-Xeres-Sherry appellation in Andalucía, southern Spain. It is made from Palomino and bottled at 19% abv.

Oloroso is aged oxidatively, without a veil of flor, so the style runs darker and broader than fino or manzanilla. Expect walnut, dried orange peel and savoury spice on a dry, textured palate. Serve it lightly cooled with aged cheeses, jamón and other cured meats, or salted nuts. It also stands up to red meat and slow-cooked stews, and works well alongside rich soups.
