Se Busca

Se Busca is a Mexican mezcal producer that crafts traditional agave spirits. Like many mezcal producers, they focus on maintaining artisanal production methods that have been passed down through generations in Mexico's mezcal-producing regions.

Mezcal production involves harvesting mature agave plants, roasting the piñas (hearts) in underground pit ovens lined with volcanic rock, then crushing, fermenting, and distilling the cooked agave. This traditional roasting process imparts the characteristic smoky flavor that distinguishes mezcal from tequila. The spirit can be made from various agave species, each contributing different flavor profiles to the final product.

Se Busca currently offers a joven mezcal, which means "young" in Spanish. Joven mezcals are typically unaged or aged for very short periods, allowing the pure agave and smoke flavors to remain prominent without the influence of extended wood aging.
