Amici

Amici, meaning "friends" in Italian, is a fitting name for this Napa Valley-based wine producer. Founded in 1991 by a group of friends with a shared passion for great wine, Amici has established itself as one of the top producers in the highly acclaimed region.

Located in Calistoga, at the northern end of Napa Valley, Amici is known for its small production, hand-crafted wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. The winery works closely with some of the most prestigious vineyards in Napa, including Beckstoffer To Kalon, Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper, and Beckstoffer George III, among others. This allows them to source the highest quality grapes, resulting in wines that truly showcase the best of Napa Valley.

The winemaking at Amici is a collaborative effort between head winemaker Tony Biagi and consulting winemaker, Celia Welch. Biagi, who has been with Amici since 2007, brings a wealth of experience and an innovative approach to winemaking. He focuses on minimal intervention, allowing the grapes to express themselves fully in the final product. Welch, on the other hand, is a Napa Valley veteran with over 30 years of winemaking experience. Her expertise and attention to detail contribute to the consistently high quality of Amici wines.

Amici produces a range of varietals, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Noir.
